Our Story


Factor was founded in 2019 with goal of providing athletes a comprehensive experience for fitness and equipment. From coaching to bike fit and builds or optimization we pride ourselves in an athlete first approach and attention to the little things. We’ve built encompassing performance platform targeted at cyclists and endurance athletes. Our goal is to provide a holistic coaching experience that “Factors” all the variables of our daily lives to get the best performance we can out of our athletes. Workouts, Nutrition, Weights and Bike fit all play into the ability of an athlete to get the best out of themselves and to be a healthy well rounded individual. We want to provide the training and coaching and bike fit that’s best for YOU and YOUR situation.

David is Head Coach, Fitter and founder of Factor. I’m a USAC Level 3 Coach, a F.I.S.T. certified fitter and Precision Nutrition practitioner in training.  I grew up as a competitive athlete in many sports including Baseball, Swimming, and Running.  Post competitive sports I got into weight lifting where I focused on building power and muscle. After a few years of Lifting I was looking to get back into competition I missed the thrill of a race and the adrenaline rush of a close battle.  This is where I found triathlon and my love for the bike.  My training slowly evolved to be almost exclusively bike based over the years where I now compete in Road Racing, Crit Racing and Cyclocross where I am a former Florida Cat 4 State Champion.

I graduated the University of South Florida with a degree in Computer Analytics and information systems that taught me how to leverage technology and DATA to gain insights and achieve the goals of an organization or in this case an athlete.  I have an insatiable appetite to learn always trying to find the latest information in my chosen discipline. It’s my goal to stay at the front of the curve using technology, proven science and theories to craft an individualized approach to performance; Because we all have different strengths, abilities, schedules, stresses and goals.  I want to help athletes achieve whatever goal they may have by taking in the whole picture and formulating a plan. 

My desire is to work together with the athlete to get the most performance we can out of them and their unique abilities and circumstances.  I do this with a holistic approach that factors in all aspects of life; work, family, time, stresses they’re all accounted for.  We’ll use Bike workouts, Weights and nutrition to help the athlete progress to the best of their abilities.

 

 

Beck has been running for over 20 years having joined her local club, Leigh Harriers, at aged 10 alongside her dad, grandad and two sisters.

Running quickly became a big part of her life and she grew up spending weekends competing in cross country, road and track races around the country.

“After graduating from Durham University with a degree in Mathematics I was recruited to run cross country and track & field at Butler University in Indianapolis.”

“Since graduating from Butler I have continued to train at a high level and love to compete in road races, anything from 5k to the marathon. The past two years have been focused on my two pregnancies but I am excited to get back to competing and hope to better my personal bests of 17:00 in the 5km, 1:17 in the half marathon and 3:02 in the marathon.”

“I have always enjoyed sharing my experiences to help others, and so I’m very excited to be able to start coaching in an official capacity. I, of course, am excited to help athletes achieve their goals but I also hope to help people discover a passion for sport and enjoy the many benefits it brings to life.”
